Your Profile:
Academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields
Proven experience in COBOL software development in professional environments
Strong proficiency in COBOL programming, including control structures, file handling, and database interactions
Familiarity with mainframe environments, including z/OS, z/VM, and database systems like DB2
Experience in integrating COBOL-based legacy systems with modern applications via APIs, messaging, or web services
Ability to maintain, debug, and modernize legacy COBOL systems, preserving functionality while introducing enhancements
Skill in identifying and resolving complex issues in COBOL systems, including logic errors, performance problems, and integration challenges
Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving project requirements and tech stacks
Fluency in English
